Jamiroquai have teamed up with Sony Ericsson to offer you an amazing opportunity to attend the gig of a lifetime. On 27th February 2007, Jamiroquai will be performing an exclusive, unplugged set at 30,000 feet!  Sony Ericsson is customising a specially chartered plane - ripping out seats and creating a stage to make sure the plane is ready to rock to some first class music. This fantastic event also includes a luxury after party with another live Jamiroquai performance with hotel accomodation at the secret European destination and your return flight home the next day.
Oh, I want to be there so much!!! But there's too little chance...(((

Hi folks,

I'm assuming that those who like Jamiroquai have great taste ;-) But more so they might like music that I'd be interested in as well, as I'm always interested to hear something new, and I'm sure others will be interested as well.

To give some of my favourites, and a flavour of what I like: my taste is pretty eclectic, but it leans towards electronic music. To name a few of my favourite artists: Royksopp, Moby, 1 Giant Leap, Kenji Kawai, Groove Armada, Thievery Corporation, Vangelis, Pulp, Sigur Ros, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Peter Gabriel, Juno Reactor, Roger Waters, Underworld, Mint Royale, Air, William Orbit, Banco de Gaia, The Prodigy, Faithless, Passengers, Baby Bird etc.

So who are some of your favourites?

uninco's post in lovejamiroquai reminded me that I saw Jamiroquai a few weeks back in Brazil. There are some reasonable photos at UOL's site.

The concert was spoiled by those determined to push forward in the crowd, despite those who'd been waiting there an hour or two, and others who were jumping around stupidly.

So as we know, the boys like to have a little chillout session when they open up Alright. Anybody have a favorite? I think I mainly asking this just because I didn't want to devote an entire post to how much I love the the way they played it at Montreaux in 2003. I love the plane sound effect they had in there. The whole intro bit is so awesome.

Estimated timeline for 2006 US tour [12 Jan 2006|12:35pm]

Hey, is anyone aware of when Jamiroquai is expected to return to the states for another tour. I was sick to my stomach when I missed them in NY. My best friend met a stranger at a club who offered her his spare ticket(for a date) and I was so damn jealous. I have been waiting forever to see them (became a fan Freshman year in college 96').

I check ticketmaster daily after hearing from my friend that at the concert they said they would be back early in 2006. Does anyone in this group know when?

Jamiroquai in MTL [27 Oct 2005|09:31pm]

Tonight's concert was great. I think Jay Kay is stuck in his own world in the 70's. It was fantastic. And he can't dance for his life but he has so much energy it really doesn't matter. Everyone has so much fun. What an awesome show! Although I would have liked more bongo solos...meh!

I'm selling my ticket for Jamiroquai's Atlantic City show this Friday (10/21). I can't go anymore, it's general admission, and I'm willing to sell for cheaper than ticketmaster is selling. Please comment if you are interested in buying!! That way I can tell ticketmaster to put the ticket at will call. Price is flexible!!

They never dissappoint... [11 Aug 2005|06:25pm]

[ mood | calm ]

I had a bit of a scare when i first bought the new CD and listened to it for the first time. I didn't really like the sound because it didn't seem to have the funkiness the last 5 CD's had. I was almost questioning whether i liked Jamiroquai anymore. But then i said to myself i shouldn't pass judgment too quickly. I listened to it a few more times and i could pick out a song or two that i liked. I listened a few more times and i fell in love all over again. I can honestly say that Jamiroquai have survived through all these year because they evolve but somehow maintain their essence. I hope they continue to make more music for years to come...

I'm going to be in Ireland when the new album comes out, which is exciting. And I heard that they are gonna be on tour pretty soon, anyone have the dates? My computer wont let me go on the website. It would be so sweet if I got to see them live, since I never have and probably wont have the oppertunity again, living in colorado. anyway, thanks.

Hi there. I just recently joined this community. I've been a fan of this band for nine years now, and it all started with that track Virtual Insanity. They are the band that influenced me to love Acid Jazz and Funk. Anyway, I feel I should start by posting my favourite Jamiroquai tracks right here. I like them all, but these are the ones that made me dig them even more:

1. Virtual Insanity (Travelling Without Moving)
2. Space Cowboy (Return of the Space Cowboy)
3. When You Gonna Learn (Emergency on Planet Earth)
4. Music of the Mind (Emergency on Planet Earth)
5. Blow Your Mind (Emergency on Planet Earth)
6. Mr. Moon (Return of the Space Cowboy)
7. Canned Heat (Synkronized)
8. Everyday (Travelling Without Moving)
9. Love Foolosophy (A Funk Odyssey)
10. Alright (Travelling Without Moving)
11. High Times (Travelling Without Moving)
12. Butterfly (Synkronized)
13. Little L (A Funk Odyssey)
14. Deeper Underground (OST - Godzilla)
15. Soul Education (Synkronized)

I can't wait for the new album to come out. This is great.

I live in Denver, and I know about 3 people who know who Jamiroquai is, its so sad. I wish I lived in the UK so I could have a better chance of seeing him. I am also a fan since virtual insanity came out (but you can't blame me for not being old school, because I was young when that song came out, I didn't know anything other than MTV).

Still havent got over it, and is still to this day the sole greatest acheivement of my life so far, yay.
Anyone who wants to talk to me can do, I love making new friendy peoples ^_^ yay!!

First Post [19 Dec 2003|01:06am]

Hey all, first post.

I'm a huge Jamiroquai fan and I have been since Virtual Insanity came to MTV. So I'm not THAT old school, ok?
I don't know which album is my favorite because they're all so good. That's the lamest answer ever, but it's true. If I had to pick, I'd probably say Synkronized. Even though my icon says otherwise.
OK, thank you.
Well, while I'm here, I think I'll start something.
Post your ideal Jamiroquai Greatest Hits CD (or current one if you made one). What tracks does it have? Why? Try and keep it to one 80 Min CD. No, "Its a 5-CD Set!" Don't be gay.
Have fun! :)
